Underwater StressProbe has the following features:

• Underwater instrument capable of operating in water depths up to 2000m.
• Power and comms can be delivered via a dedicated umbilical (diver deployed) or by the Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV).
• Topside Computer provides control and data presentation.
• Can be used with a wide range of StressProbe probes - including arrays.
• Operates through coatings of up to 5mm (depending on probe type).

Underwater StressProbe allows spot measurement of dynamic loads to be obtained when calibration data for the material is available.

The diver deployed system can be left in position to provide continuous monitoring of dynamic load cycles.

Developments are underway for an autonomous ROV delivered system with on-board data storage. The unit will be powered by batteries with various data transmission options.
