Can I use TSC's inspection systems using a PC with No Serial Port?

Summary : Yes, with a USB serial port adaptor.
Detail : Many modern PC's and portable computers are not supplied with a standard 9 pin serial port. In this situation a spare USB port can be used in conjunction with a USB to RS232 serial adaptor cable. These cables are usually supplied with driver software that emulate the functions of a standard COM port. This software will assign a COM port number for the USB to serial cable that can then be selected using the TSC software. See here for further detail.

Can I purchase portable computer systems that can be used in Harsh Environments?
