Introduction

StressProbe Portable This rugged instrument is a battery powered unit intended for general site work. It does not contain demagnetisation circuitry and so is suited primarily to the measurement of cyclic stress ranges. The system can work with single and multiple element probes.

Overview

Because of it's portability, this instrument package can be used for both routine and remote access applications and can be deployed during wet weather.

Routine applications involve manual placement of the probe either by the system operator or a remote operator. When used with long cable probes, the system is well suited to deployment by rope access whereby the system operator controls the operation whilst probe deployment is carried out by a specialist rope access technician.

For rope access, StressProbe Portable provides huge cost savings over the use of conventional strain measuring methods, also avoiding the need to remove coatings or prepare surfaces.
