Mark IV ACPD Instrument Launched

TSC are pleased to announce an advanced ACPD system to replace the U9 (for site inspection) and U10 (for laboratory monitoring) - the Mark IV ACPD Crack Microgauge.

The new instrument is much smaller and lighter than the old instruments, as well as being much more rugged. It is sealed to IP54 for outside use, if required, and can contain up to 64 channels for crack growth monitoring tests. New user-friendly software is available for all common inspection tasks. A datasheet is also available.

New High Temperature ACFM probe

A new design of ACFM probe capable of inspecting surfaces up to 500oC has been developed for a major oil company. The probe was designed to inspect weldolets where the existing right angle pencil probe led to problems for the operator. The new probe keeps the operators hand and probe cable further away from the surface on this geometry, as well as including a facility for forced air cooling to give longer contact times.
