New ASME Code for ACFM

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) have now included ACFM Testing (ACFMT) under section V of their boiler and pressure vessel codes. Article 15 describes the procedures for using the technique to find linear flaws in welds and also references the ASTM procedure E-2261.

ACFM listed in ASNT Recommended Practice

The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) have now included ACFM as 1 of 4 electromagnetic techniques in their latest SNT-TC-1A recommended practice document. Further details are available here.
